Diagnostics and Assessments

Understanding your child's needs start with the right insight

At CLIMB Learning, we provide comprehensive diagnostic assessments to help families gain clarity about their child’s development, communication, and behaviour. If you're concerned about how your child is progressing or have been referred for assessment, our team is here to guide you through the process with compassion and expertise.

Diagnostic assessments are formal evaluations that help identify developmental delays, language disorders, social communication challenges, or neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism spectrum characteristics. These assessments provide a deeper understanding of your child’s strengths and areas of need, forming the foundation for effective support and intervention.

Who are assessments for?

Families may seek a diagnostic assessment if they have noticed:

  • Delays in speech, language, or communication
  • Difficulty with social interaction or play
  • Challenges in behaviour or emotional regulation
  • Differences in sensory processing or routines
  • Differences in sensory processing or routines
  • A lack of progress with current supports
  • Concerns raised by educators, GPs, or other professionals

We welcome referrals or direct enquiries from families, preschools, and allied health professionals.

Our assessments are family-centred, evidence-informed, and conducted in a supportive, child-friendly environment. We take the time to understand your child as a whole — not just their challenges, but their personality, interests, and environment.
