Positive Behaviour Support

By working collaboratively with families to help them understand why behaviours are occurring and how consequences increase or decrease behaviour, we can empower families with the tools and strategies to shape and change behaviour.

By using an antecedent approach to understand the setting conditions and triggers for behaviours, strategies can then be used to make environmental changes in order to reduce challenging behaviour.

Together we teach children the skills and communication required to learn appropriate replacement behaviours and as communication can often be one of the key components to challenging behaviour there is a strong focus on teaching functional communication within all of our program.
